Verizon To Acquire AOL

Verizon has today announced the signing of an agreement to purchase AOL Inc for $50 per share, which comes to a total in the region of $4.4 billion. This acquisition of course includes their assets such as TechCrunch and Engadget.  AOL is to become a subsidiary of Verizon following the tender and offer and merger.
