OnePlus Partners With Dropbox, Discounts One To $249

drop_Blog

OnePlus had a big announcement slated for June 1st. While the company did not release the OnePlus 2 as everyone hoped and wanted, they did announce a limited-time price cut on the OnePlus One.

Experimenting with the flash sales model, OnePlus sold the OnePlus One at a discounted price for a whole week at alternate times. The 16GB Silk White version was sold for $249, while the 64GB Sandstone Black version was sold for $299.

The company in their blog post stated that the response to the flash sales was tremendous. As the company worked to increase its efficiency levels throughout the past year, they have been successful in bringing down the cost of the One. This has encouraged them to announce a permanent discount on the OnePlus One, continuing on the flash sale prices for the rest of OnePlus One stock.

The company had another big announcement up its sleeve, announcing their partnership with Dropbox to provide users with a Pro subscription and a 64GB One for a combined price of $349. The Dropbox Pro subscription will entitle you to 1TB of Dropbox space. Other features mentioned like secure sharing, image backups and compatibility are actually available for all Dropbox users across all devices, so those cannot be called part of the Pro subscription package.

OnePlus states that the offer is valid in US, Canada and EU only, and will start from June 10th and be valid for a limited time only. But we know what happened to their last limited time offer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What do you think of OnePlus’ latest move? Customer service aside, do you feel the OnePlus One still offers the competition a run for their money? Will the price cut help it to hold on its title of the “Flagship Killer” for longer? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
