The screen on my Note 2 is broken (i.e. no display and no touch functionality). I need to recover SMS messages from it. I've been able to backup the phone using Kies 3, but can't find a way of reading the backup files that it created (.sme file for the SMS messages I believe).
The phone is NOT rooted (it has a stock ROM). Does anyone know a way of extracting SMS messages to a PC which doesn't require the phone screen to be working?
