Hello all. Looking to swap my Nexus S for Galaxy S.

I have thought about this. The reason being is I want an SD Slot. I want to unhook from the mothership that is Google and go it alone. That means I need a sd card for my tunes. I love the Wolfson DAC on my Nexus S and since the Galaxy S is virtually identical then it seems logical.

At the moment I am running CM11 weekly and it runs fine on the Nexus S. What I want to know is will flashing CM11 or something similar onto the GS1 be the same as my Nexus S? I take it I don't need to flash the ROM onto an sd card? I seem to remember people saying at the time of the Nexus S release that its internal memory was better than the GS1 and that is why it got ICS and Jelly Bean.

I will miss my Nexus S but I am sick of Google and its spying. The Nexus line were just Googles attempts to get you sucked into all their cloud services due to limited storage space. I want free of all that.

I have also seen that Lollipop is on the Galaxy S too! How did you swing that one? Even the Nexus S hasn't got a Lollipop Rom. It looks like that development is more active on the Galaxy S than Nexus S at the moment. Nexus S development has pretty much dried up.

Cheers.
